Welcome to our website

The Scottish Police Memorial is situated in the grounds of the Police Scotland College, Tulliallan Castle, Fife. It was dedicated by HRH the Princess Royal on 7th September 2004.

The Memorial features the names of all police officers known to have died on duty in Scotland since the dawn of modern policing.

The walls of the Memorial are engraved with the names of officers from Police Scotland, British Transport Police, Ministry of Defence Police and their antecedent forces dating back to 1812.

This is the first time that all such names have been displayed together. We believe it is a fitting tribute to the price police officers, and their families pay to keep the people of Scotland safe.

Research continues, to identify the names of additional officers from throughout Scottish history. If you believe we have missed an officer whose name should be included on the Memorial, please contact us at admin@spmt.scot

'On duty' includes travelling directly to or from a station of report or recall to duty (either by identification or action, e.g. intervention in an ongoing incident or attempting a rescue).

"We owe them a debt we can never repay, but we can ensure that they are never forgotten."
